FAQs

confused?
don’t worry, we’ve got the answers

No, there’s a lot going on outside of our balls including a slide from the ball pit to the dance floor, the main bar and a mezzanine seating area! We really believe in being an amazing cocktail bar where you can dance the night away, and leave all your adult inhibitions behind.

Head to our gallery page to see what you can expect on your visit with us!

We have a ball cleaner called Gobble Muffin who sanitises and cleans 18,000 ball p/hr. Our balls get a lovely clean each and every week we’ve got the test results to prove it! Of course, we’ve also got hand sanitizers scattered around the venue to kill any germs. Our soap dispensers are always stocked and we’ve got brand spanking new air con to keep cool fresh air flowing through the venues so they’re always at the optimum temperature.

If you’ve lost something whilst enjoying our balls at Ballie Edinburgh, then please email us on lostedinburgh@ballieballerson.com.

You must wear secure, flat shoes in the ball pits (or up to a mid-block heel if you’re feeling daring). You don’t have to be dressed to the nines to be part of the Ballie crowd so we have a smart casual dress code. This includes trendy cycle shorts and the like so long as they’re bar/club appropriate. Trainers are a-okay, just please avoid wearing head to toe casual sportswear and tracksuits.

If you need help with your shoe choice, please click here.

Although the strictest coronavirus rules are behind us, we will continue to use a hospital-grade ventilation system to keep the flow of clean air and temperature control at a consistent level.

In terms of our staff, we ask that they are vigilant about showing any signs of coronavirus or have been in contact with anyone who has recently tested positive.

Our venues are only for grown-ups so everybody needs to be 18+ and provide valid photo ID to get in, no matter how old you think you look. If anyone in your group does not have one of the below forms of ID we cannot allow them to enter the venue and will not receive a refund for anybody in the group. No I.D, no entry.

We accept original versions (not photocopies or pictures) of a Photo drivers’ licence, passport (UK or foreign) or a National ID card. Please note we do not accept PASS cards or the YOTI app.

If our security team have reason to believe that you are intoxicated upon entry, you may be denied entry – so don’t go too heavy on the pre-drinks! We also don’t allow drinking in the queue so anyone caught having a tipple whilst lining up will be refused entry.

Please note that you will not be offered a refund if you are asked to leave the venue for these reasons.

Our refund/transfer policy is as follows:

In the event of forced closure by the government due to COVID-19 restrictions or for those who receive last minute confirmation of COVID-19 diagnosis or possible COVID-19 contact, your booking will not be eligible for a monetary refund. However we would like to offer a compromise of customers being able to reschedule to a future date of your choosing. Please note, once a new date has been set, the refund terms and conditions of this booking remain that it is not eligible for a monetary refund.

Have fun but please observe the following rules:
1. Hand sanitiser must be used before entering the ball pits
2. No jumping.
3. No diving.
4. There’s a hard floor underneath the balls—watch out for changing depths.
5. Hold the handrail on your way in and out of the balls.
6. Any aggressive behaviour will have you removed from the venue.

Last but not least, we suggest that you keep your belongings safe in the cloakroom as it’s all too easy to lose belongings in those pesky balls. Although we will always try to reunite you with your items, the venue does not take responsibility for any lost or stolen items.

Yes we do, so you can get balls deep without the fuss of having bags or coats. We charge £1 per item, and we’re card only!

It is extremely easy to lose items in our balls so we suggest you keep your belongings safe in the cloakroom. If you’ve lost something in our pits then please email Ballie Edinburgh on lostedinburgh@ballieballerson.com.

Our ball pits are deep cleaned at the start of each week, and one of our teams will be in contact within 5 working days if we are able to reunite you with your item(s). The venue does not take responsibility for any lost or stolen items and unfortunately we can’t help with any loss of dignity either!

Your 2 hour ticket slot indicates the time you are able to use the ball pit and, for our reserved seating customers, your time on the balcony table. During this time, you can go in and out of the pits as many times as you like! Of course, if you’d like to arrive before your booking time or stay for the whole night then you’re more than welcome to.

We understand that delays happen. We will hold your table for 15 minutes from the start of your ticket time. If you have not arrived after 15 minutes, you will be marked as a ‘no’ show and we reserve the right to reclaim your table.

If you or anyone in your group is pregnant, we would love to have you along however for health and safety reasons must politely ask you to not use the balls. We also ask that all participants must be reasonably fit, in good health and free from any adverse medical condition in order to enjoy the ball pits (they’re harder to move around in than you think). Please be aware there may be flashing lights in our main ball pit.

Please note there is no step free access to our Edinburgh venue.

Contact us on edinburgh@ballieballerson.com with any questions.

All of our ball pit tickets are subject to an unchangeable booking fee at the checkout.

Yes you can! Although we advise booking in advance for the weekends, we do offer free entry on a first-come first-serve basis so you are more than welcome to come by without a ticket.

We’re always looking for the best and brightest ballers! If you know your way around a cocktail, would like to be the top of your pizza making game or just love talking to strangers with a smile on your face, send us a CV at hr@ballieballerson.com!

Please note that only recruitment related enquiries will receive a response. Any general queries or booking enquiries must go through edinburgh@ballieballerson.com.
